We also treated joint pain that could not be tamed with cortisone shots.

Chronic Neck & Shoulder Pain + 17-years of constipation
Root Cause: Scoliosis
This patient had severe, constant, chronic neck and shoulder pain with palpable cervical protrusion. The pain often led to tension headaches. Additionally, she had an inconclusive diagnosis of chronic constipation for 17 years. This was resolved once her protruding and upward-pulled left rib cage was softened and flattened through acupuncture treatments. Her spinal deviation was also corrected. See the image on the left.

Shoulder Joint Pain
Root Cause: Winged Scapula
This patient suffered from chronic, restricted shoulder joint mobility with pain. She was a very dedicated patient to PT, Body Works Therapy, and chiropractic care simultaneously, but she showed no further improvements for years. She could not swim, which was her favorite activity. Her winged scapula was corrected, and her shoulder ROM was restored after acupuncture sessions.

Neck Scar Tissue Release
Cause: Surgical Scar
After undergoing a neck laminectomy, the patient faced challenges with a droopy head, making it impossible for him to lift his neck or look up. His range of motion was limited, but he could still turn left and right to a minimal extent. In the first session, we effectively released the scar tissue, enabling him to look upward without pain. By the second treatment, we successfully balanced his neck muscles, restoring his ability to move comfortably in both directions.

Facial Paralysis
Symptom: Bell's Palsy
This patient was diagnosed with Bell's palsy by his primary care physician, resulting in paralysis of the right side of his face. Patients are typically advised to wait for spontaneous recovery of facial muscle function — a process that often takes six months or longer. In some cases, the condition becomes chronic, leaving the facial damage permanent.
After two weeks of treatment with our approach, this patient showed significant improvement in facial muscle control, as demonstrated in the videos. Our method for addressing facial paralysis accelerates the recovery process, with results often visible within weeks rather than several months.

Chronic Frozen Shoulder
Cause: Scar Tissue Restriction after Pacemaker Surgery
After pacemaker surgery, this patient struggled to extend his left arm forward and faced a diminished quality of life, as he found it challenging to perform everyday tasks like putting on a shirt, grabbing dishes, or reaching for a cup. We alleviated his shoulder restriction to help him regain shoulder mobility.

Restricted Shoulder Joint
Cause: Traumatic Injury
This elderly patient suffered from chronic frozen shoulder with a limited range of motion after several bike crashes. Before treatment, he was unable to lift his left arm above shoulder level, anteriorly (front) or laterally (side). After treatment, this patient is now pain-free and can lift his arm up and above his head. Noticed how his scapula positioning has been corrected on before and after treatment photos. His upper back spinal alignment is more centered rather than deviating to the right.
